Who is SoftHeart Healing?

SoftHeart Healing is a collaboration between us, Myk and Allison Ostrowski. We’ve been together for 20(!) years and we’ve finally joined forces to open a practice.

Allison has been a licensed massage therapist since 2010. She provided body and energy work full time at the dearly mourned Spa at the Mount Auburn Club. Since then she’s been learning about growing organic veggies on local non-profit farms.

Myk became a licensed massage therapist at the beginning of 2025. He’s also an artist, musician and previously worked in the local film industry. His work is intuitive and gentle. He also practices shamanic and reiki energy work.

Where is SoftHeart Healing?

Our office is located at 40 Crescent Street in Waltham, Ma. This is an office building with other professionals like lawyers, therapists as well as fellow massage and energy workers.

Where should I park?

We’re located next to the Crescent Street Lot, one of Waltham’s Municipal Parking lots, located at 42 Crescent Street. There are plenty of spaces, and you can pay for parking with the Pay by Phone parking app or at one of the kiosks. Parking is $1/hour.

What should I expect?

When you arrive, the entrance to 40 Crescent Street is up a few steps at the front of the building. If the steps will provide a challenge for you, please let us know and we’ll let you into the rear door where there is an accessible entrance. Upon arrival, there is a small waiting room at the front of the building. Myk or Allison will come meet you when they are ready for your appointment.

We generally start appointments with a check-in, reviewing your intake forms and communicating about your treatment goals. Once that’s done, we will leave the room while you get comfortable on the treatment table. Clients are asked to disrobe to their level of comfort and will remain covered under a sheet during treatments. The covering is removed from each part of the body while it is being worked on. For reiki and other energy work, the client can remain fully clothed and covered under the sheets, or can remain on top of the sheet.

Why SoftHeart Healing?

The name SoftHeart Healing came from Allison’s somewhat magical childhood in northern Vermont. She spent a lot of time outdoors and named a mossy, peaceful corner of her kingdom SoftHeart Palace. She’s been waiting for a chance to use the name ever since. We intend for SoftHeart Healing to feel like a cozy, peaceful corner of your world. A place where magic still exists and you can relax into the mossy softness of being fully embodied.
